We are a non-profit program that offers challenging, fun, hands-on software development training to nominated Mississippi adults. With Tennessee Valley Authority’s Support through the Connect Communities pilot, every student receives a 100% scholarship.
What We Look For
Nominate
Any Mississippi resident who is at least twenty-two years old may be nominated by an unrelated individual with insight into his or her aptitude and motivation.
Have a Strong Heart and Mind
Becoming a fantastic software developer takes hard work and dedication.
Show Up, Work Hard
Commit to working with your peers three sessions a week for twelve months to master this skill set.
Graduate & Land a Job
Base Camp supports its graduates in their job search with interview skills training, resume building and warm introductions to our corporate partners and sponsors.

Every graduate carries the reputation of Base Camp with them into the workforce. We expect them to represent!
Tuition Free
Base Camp graduate students contribute their time, hard work, and dedication. Base Camp provides the rest, ensuring social and economic barriers do not prevent our best and brightest from joining the future tech workforce of Mississippi.
Every student accepted into the Base Camp Coding Academy Graduate Institute receives a 100% scholarship thanks to the generous support of Tennessee Valley Authority.
Our Curriculum
The curriculum at Base Camp Coding Academy is anything but static. We want our graduates to have a competitive leg up in the industry, so we prep them with the latest and greatest in tools and technology. Our curriculum committee of industry leaders meets quarterly to review recent advancements in software engineering and make adjustments to the curriculum as necessary.
